XR-MOBILITY SHOWCASE.
We integrate mobility into mixed realityWe believe in a future in which virtual information merges with real places. Smartphones will be replaced by ever more delicate AR glasses through to AR contact lenses, which will accompany us through our everyday lives and the metaverse with intuitive apps and services and support us in our mobility.
Current technologies, such as the Microsoft Hololens, the Meta Quest, tablets and smartphones, allow us to develop and design for a future that will reach the end user in the coming years. Whether Meta, Google, Apple or Microsoft, there is massive investment in mixed reality technologies. Now is the time to develop attractive visions and integrate mobility concepts into people's mixed reality.
At DENKUNDMACH. we have been supporting the development of such visions from conception to interactive experience for several years, especially focusing on the requirements in mobility scenarios. Since our clients' projects are confidential, we have produced various cases and experiments to communicate our expertise.
Interior
Unlike homes or public spaces, cars offer a controlled environment with lots of computing power. They offer themselves as a place for high quality augmented reality experiences and will offer impressive AR experiences for their drivers and passengers in the future.
Virtual extensions in the vehicle enable a clear and spacious interior. Dispensing with permanently installed infotainment and navigation displays allows features to be implemented independently of long product cycles.
Dynamic interfaces
Dynamic interfaces can be anchored in the field of vision, within reach, or at fixed locations in the car, depending on requirements. In interaction with multimodal inputs, services can adapt their interactions or location depending on the context. For example, an input can be provided by hardware buttons, speech, or gestures. We research and develop interfaces that adapt depending on the situation to ensure optimal usability for their concept, prototype or product.
Exterior
Virtual information can be placed outside the car in the real world. This fixed location makes it possible, for example, to display points of interest, routes and maneuvers in the world. Since the display is integrated into the world, it is more natural and quicker to perceive.
We develop designs that consciously deal with the special requirements of representation in the real world. Visual elements must integrate particularly well into the real world or stand out visibly, depending on the requirements. So they have to deal with changing landscapes and lighting conditions as well as with varying distances.
Apps
In augmented reality, apps integrate into our real environment. They must function both in our own homes, at work, and in our preferred mobility concept. Customers will expect seamless integration of their apps and weigh their purchasing decisions accordingly. However, a holistic and attractive concept also enables brand loyalty beyond personal transportation. Strong visual embedding allows brands to communicate across different mobility sectors (from car sharing to e-scooters).
Communication
Visual augmentations can make communication in road traffic safer. Clear indications and warnings reduce misunderstandings for drivers and pedestrians.
With the spread of autonomous driving functions, the vehicle must communicate to both the driver and all pedestrians involved whether critical situations have been detected and what to expect from the various road users.
A shared AR world enables completely new types of communication concepts and we can explore and develop them with you.
Games
With augmented reality, games can react to the world. Game characters can be controlled with gestures, while the surrounding traffic is dynamically integrated. Flying over blue cars gets you double the points, and since the kids are looking out the window, motion sickness is not a problem. The possibilities of individual or generative game concepts are endless.
Framework
All cases are implemented with our mobility framework. This framework enables us to bring your ideas to life. From static proof of concept to interactive in-vehicle integration, we develop interactive presentations and prototypes that bring together various devices such as head-mounted displays, tablets and smartphones with a wide range of interaction options. We want to help shape the future. From concept development to design and implementation of your interfaces to control vehicle functions - we offer you full service.
